Thanks to Manuel, Promise TX2 is now working.

Unfortunately, my peecee, an old Compaq Deskpro has a primitive BIOS that
doesn't seem to accept the lack of a disk on his onboard controller. So,
moving my disk from the inboard controller to the Promise card leads to
an unbootable system.

So, the solution I see is to keep a spare disk on the internal IDE, and
install/customise a bootloader on it. In fact, the disk already has a multiboot MBR (NetBSD
previously installed on it)

It there any way to do this like ... let's say.... lilo does ?

Thanks,
