The Keyspan ones use a small microcontroller.  I'd _really_ like to
hack together a special firmware which will let me have more than one
output as a transmit line.

That is, rather than having pin 2 be TD only, to talk to some LCD
display controllers, I'd like all the output pins as data lines.  That
way, one of these suckers can run 4 displays.

It shouldn't be hard, either.  I've just not had the time to do it
yet...
