The only thing that src/tools cannot reliably update is make(1).  However,
after a src update, you can do "./build.sh -b" to produce an up-to-date make
in $TOOLDIR/bin/nbmake, with a wrapper (setting proper MACHINE/MACHINE_ARCH)
in $TOOLDIR/bin/nbmake-MACHINE.  8-)
