this is what i have in my error log
Build started at: Tue Nov 13 09:33:59 EST 2001
make obj
...
obj ===> etc
/usr/src/tools/obj.sparc/tools.samedi/bin/sparc--netbsdelf-gcc: not found
make: "/usr/src/etc/Makefile" line 125: warning: Couldn't read shell's output for "( echo "#include <machine/endian_machdep.h>" ; echo _BYTE_ORDER ) | /usr/src/tools/obj.sparc/tools.samedi/bin/sparc--netbsdelf-gcc -I/usr/include -E - | tail -1 | awk '{print $1}'"
mkdir -p /usr/src/sys/arch/sparc/compile
...
when i did this, the stuff in /usr/src/tools/obj.sparc/tools.samedi
had yet to be built, since the obj target is two steps before the
do-make-tools target. of course, since then i've discovered that
setting TOOLDIR (in my /etc/mk.conf) to that value doesn't work very
well, so i've started afresh.
