If xsrc needs perl to build, xsrc should become a/some pkg(s) with proper
BUILD_DEPENDS. Who cares for basesrc - you need pkgsrc everywhere, on any
machine for nearly all practical uses. I have not a single machine without
any pkgs, even my NAT/Firewall/Router machine has one:

[root@nighfall] ~ # pkg_info -a
ups-nut-0.45.1      Network UPS Tools
[root@nighfall] ~ #

Actually it should have two, but I faked and copied /bin/tcsh there manually.
