Whilst compiling current updated yesterday, running with 1.5Y kernel + 
1.5Y libc otherwise 20010106-vintage in the middle of a make build

This is repeatable and if someone wants more info just ask :)
Meanwhile I have to replace the terminal with a terminal emulator.
