I was in 512-blocks, so 1070 is 535.  Hmm.  That *is* obviously wrong, now
that I think about it.  :)

Oddly, I have 1.56 of mkfs.c, but I'm still getting the "obviously wrong"
value...  So I re-ran, and now it's fine.  !  Maybe I hadn't cleandir'd enough
stuff before the last pass.

I would guess that I would find this a lot less confusing if I weren't doing
other things *and* building...
