I get the same error with

  xset +fp /usr/pkg/Acrobat4/Resource/Font/

but not with /usr/local/share/fonts/Adobe/, which has mostly identical
fonts with different file names, and not with
/usr/pkg/share/AbiSuite/fonts/. (XFree 3, stock NetBSD-1.5.2)
