Hi,
From: David Forbes <david@flossy.u-net.com>
Subject: ex0: device timeout
Date : Mon, 20 Aug 2001 00:13:19 +0100 (BST)
$ I'm having trouble setting up NetBSD on a Dell laptop. The network
$ interface (a 3com 3c556 MiniPCI combo integrated into the machine) appears
$ to probe correctly as ex0, but when any attempt to use it results in "ex0:
$ device timeout".
I have committed below.
$ Module Name: syssrc
$ Committed By: kanaoka
$ Date: Sat Aug 18 05:49:28 UTC 2001
$
$ Modified Files:
$ syssrc/sys/dev/pci: if_ex_pci.c
$
$ Log Message:
$ Improve intr_ack code to support for 3c556,3c556B.
$ Some cards don't have an interrupt acknowledge
$ register in PCI config space, so we map and write
$ it, such as CardBus driver does.
Please make sure you have sys/dev/pci/if_ex_pci.c rev 1.18.
Regards!
