"Oops."  I looked at this last night, and it is a problem that I probably
should have caught before merging the branch.

Please try today's lfs_cleanerd (sources as of Wed Jul 18 06:24:39 UTC
2001), and let me know if that improves matters.  You may end up having to
have to newfs_lfs your partition again anyway; fsck_lfs should be able to
tell whether it is damaged or not.
