So now I'm thoroughly confused. /var/log/messages has time stamps.
/var/run/dmesg.boot does not.

Is /var/run/dmesg.boot a proper subset of /var/log/messages?

Should /var/run/dmesg.boot also carry timestamps?

Thanks -Mike
