Hm, guess there are some performance tweaks I can make in the `epic'
driver :-)

Hm, the Asante board I'm using is a 64-bit card in a 32-bit slot and
it works just fine.  Doesn't receive packets?  Can you please try using
tcpdump on the 9642TX side?
