The latest pci_addr_fixup fixup max bus,thus it may help this problem.
But GENERIC does not enable PCIBIOS stuff and GENERIC_LAPTOP does not 
enable ahc at pci.

How about trying with "GENERIC + PCIBIOS stuff" kernel.
