hello,
it seems that disk quotas can hang machine, no kernel panic, no logs...
even mouse seems to be dead (X). Network pinging to interface gives no
response.
uname -a
NetBSD pulstar 1.5T NetBSD 1.5T (ALBEDO) #0: Thu Apr 5 14:57:44 CEST
2001 [...]
current system from Apr 12 14:55
fstab:
/dev/wd0e /home ffs w,userquota=/var/quotas/home.usrquota 0 2
#edquota user
soft=5
hard=10
#su - user
>echo "something" >file
>cat file >> file2
>cat file2 >> file
>cat file >> file2
>[...] // make disk usage more and more
/disk quota exceed (soft quota)
>cat file2 >> file
>cat file >> file2
>[...] // still make disk usage more and more
HANG UP
without any info, just hang up
bye.
