| My sparc-20 running -current (2001/03/24) is having trouble keeping
| accurate time. For some reason ntpd wants to run about 2-5 seconds
| offset from my local server.

  Same here with a macppc-current off a local server i386-1.5:

ntpdc> dm
     remote local st poll reach delay offset disp
=======================================================================
 LOCAL(0)        127.0.0.1        6   64  377 0.00000  0.000000 0.00099
*wachwichtel.ems 192.168.77.14    3   64  377 0.00169 -6.130835 0.00098

  It never seems to reduce the offset, indeed it just gets worse over
time (those are taken in ~30s intervals):

*wachwichtel.ems 192.168.77.14    3   64  377 0.00172 -6.251210 0.00098
*wachwichtel.ems 192.168.77.14    3   64  377 0.00172 -6.308372 0.00098

> Mar 31 00:49:43 celery ntpd[139]: synchronisation lost

 wachwichtel.ems 192.168.77.14    3   64    0 0.00000  0.000000 0.00000

  Something is broken it seems.
