Both of those drivers seem to be okay ... but there was also a more generic
problem.  Could you try the libvgahw.a at:

ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/arch/i386/1.5-XF86-4.0.2-fixes/libvgahw.a

And let me know if that helps things at all?

If that doesn't help, I can certainly offer debugging hints.
