When trying to write to an IDE-to-SCSI RAID with a Tekram '895 based
card with the siop driver I get about 6-7MB/s.  On a DS10 with a
Symbios(?) '895 card running Digital UNIX I get about 25MB/s.

It pretty much has to be a driver or possibly a card problem. Does
anyone have similar experiences?

I'll see if I can try getting NetBSD running on the DS10.
