Maybe I'm just lucky...

My -current system is:

P200 MMX
128 megs memory
Award BIOS
Chipset only caches 64 meg
Adaptec 2940 SCSI controller
IBM 9 gig UltraSCSI drive
ATI 3D XPRESSION+
3COM 3c900-COMBO

I'm not seeing slowdowns. I can do a "make build" while using Netscape
on that box.

I'm doing a "cvs update" every 24 to 48 hours, and a "make build".
