Thanks for the pointer! Well, I should have guessed that our AC'97
driver already had provisions for things like that, shouldn't I? :-)
The esm driver now contains a quirk table that allows l/r channel
swapping based on subvendor/-product. So far, I have added the Dell
Inspiron 5000e which works fine now.
