} Great; I'm buying a laptop this week, and it comes with what is called
} an 'EigerMedia 16-bit Audio Adapter' by EigerLabs

Speaking of PCMCIA sound cards, I have one here. The label on it
says:

[on the front]
New Media Corporation
.WAVjammer
16-Bit Stereo
Sound Card

[on the back]
FCC: J9MSOUND

1-800-453-0550

I don't know anything else about it or have any documentation for
it; although, I would be willing to test a driver if somebody comes up
with a generic sb/wss one.
