It shouldn't be hard to knock up a program to display this info.  I've
not ever used Linux - is there a manpage somewhere (or perhaps even
source) to free to work out the exact meaning of some of those numbers?

I'm currently working in a change to systat to display the memory used
up by file buffers, and this should be committed soon.
