Please don't remove ncr.c until siop is at a stage where it
doesn't wedge my machine.

If I rebuild my kernel, dropping out ncr and substituting
siop, reboot and then try stressing it a bit, for example,
doing a 'make build' on top of a union mounted /usr/src,
it wedges my machine totally.  For all its cruft and nastiness
I haven't (in some time) had such problems with ncr.c.

Unfortunately at the moment I don't have any specific details
of how or why it is wedging.
