I am having an nfs problem with my multia running both
the netbsd1.5_alpha and -current of perhaps 3 days ago.
The symptom is that the machine locks up, looping on an
nfs_timer: error number 55
this runs continuously on the console, telnet connections
are frozen. when ctrl-alt-esc is used to escape to the
debugger to reboot, the system then loops on some memory
or page fault error. The nfs server (a -current i386 system)
stays running with no problems.

My setup is to nfs mount the src, destdir, and obj points
due to a small (1.5) Gb scsi disk on the multia. I did
manage to build -current manually on the hard drive and install
it, but it did not fix the problem with nfs.
I can manage to get through the initial make obj, includes,
etc. and the failure occurs after a while of compiling with
heavy nfs access.
There is no crash dump. If there is some way I can get useful
debugging info if needed, let me know.
