i've put the latest beta of lukemftp up at:
    ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/lukemftp/lukemftp-1.5beta3.tar.gz
it's had a lot of changes since lukemftp 1.4, some of which may have
broken the portability of the code.

if you don't know, `lukemftp' is my conversion of the netbsd ftp
client into a `portable' form suitable for running on other unix
systems (or even older netbsd systems). apparantly it's now even
the default ftp client for some of the recent linux distributions!

i'd be interested in feedback to whether or not it compiles on a given
non-netbsd platform, and in the `non compile' or `almost compile' case,
any information you used to crowbar it into submission. in either
case, info such as
	os name & version (uname -a, uname -r, or other info)
	compiler name/path & version
for the INSTALL notes would be useful. i'd like to release 1.5 soon.

luke.

ps: please don't make packages for third party systems with this beta;
i'll have the full version out fairly soon now.
