Ahh, it looks like you need to specifically enable md5 keys, whereas I
(wrongly!) assumed that they would be enabled by default.  DES keys are
on the way out - the NTP people are hoping it will die a quick death.

I'll try a build with md5 enabled and if all goes well I'll update the
source tree.  Note that I'm only in a position to test unauthenticated
NTP at the moment - I'll just assume that if it builds it'll be ok...
