Someone recently hinted that the 1.5 alpha-test branch was imminent;
has it happened yet, or when will it (likely) happen if not?  And is
there a (preliminary) list of features that 1.5 will have?

(I was just about to upgrade my system from 1.4 to 1.4.2, but if
1.5-alpha is within a week or so I might as well go with that.)
