Is LFS considered stable enough for production, or is it expected to become
stable enough during the 1.5 release cycle? I was wondering whether
LFS support should be included in install media, especially now that
(at least some ports') bootblocks now support booting from an LFS partition.
I found myself in a situation recently (building an MP3 player for my
car :) where I would have liked to install at least some of the
partitions as LFS, but since neither the kernel support (in the INSTALL
kernel on i386) nor the lfs tools were included in the bootfloppy,
it became more of a hassle than I was at that point willing to deal with.
Personally, I think LFS is really cool, and it would be nice to be
able to make easier use of it. Obviously, if it's still not ready
for prime time, perhaps we should wait for 1.6. (or 1.5.1?)
