I compiled a snapshot from sources dated 2000-05-16 on i386, and
performed an install from scratch.  I logged in as root, added a
`jlam' user, and ran `passwd jlam', then there was a 2 minute delay
before the following prompt appeared:

	jlam@HOME.NET's passwd:

I tried touching an empty /etc/krb5.conf file, but that didn't fix the
problem.  Any suggestions?
