So this is the same problem I have had from the begining, this is my
post with my updates. Any help would be appriciated!
PROBLEM : When using CardBus only the top card slot on my Notebook
works, when I insert my PCMCIA WaveLAN card in this one slot I get the
message "cant get mac address", when I insert my 3c575TX in the first
slot it works fine. When I insert a CardBus card or a PCMCIA card in the
second slot neither are noticed. Oh yes when using CardBus my uhci0
doesnt work either look at the dmesg for more info!
NOTES:
1) I just did a 'cvs update' and tried the PCIBIOS_ADDR_FIXUP stuff in
it, thinking that this could resolve my problem. But with this in my
kernel I get kicked into the debuger in the very begining. I dont know
how to get a dmesg of this so that some one can look at this.
2) I had the can't get mac address error with the pcic kernel until I
used the :PCIC_ISA_ALLOC_IOBASE option and set the value to 0x500. Once
I did this the problem wen't away./usr
ATTATCHEMENTS:
1) dmesg.cbb - my cbb kernel working with my ex0, notice some compaints
2) dmesg.pcic - my pcic kernel working fine with everthing but cbb (of
coarse!)
3) CPQ-M700.cbb - my kernel config!
Ryan

# Some controllers pass the initial 32bit test, but will fail later.

# IDE drives
# Flags are used only with controllers that support DMA operations
# and mode settings (e.g. some pciide controllers)
# The lowest order four bits (rightmost digit) of the flags define the PIO
# mode to use, the next set of four bits the DMA mode and the third set the
# UltraDMA mode. For each set of four bits, the 3 lower bits define the mode
# to use, and the last bit must be 1 for this setting to be used.
# For DMA and UDMA, 0xf (1111) means 'disable'.
# 0x0fac means 'use PIO mode 4, DMA mode 2, disable UltraDMA'.
# (0xc=1100, 0xa=1010, 0xf=1111)
# 0x0000 means "use whatever the drive claims to support".
