Do you have /tmp on mfs?  I get the same thing on a -current box w/ /tmp on 
a mfs, but I *don't* get that on a -current box that doesn't have /tmp on 
mfs... (and both systems have root on RAID..)

As for what is causing the problem, I'm not sure, as I havn't dug into it..
