There is PLIP (the parallel port IP protocol) available as a patch for NetBSD.
This gives you full IP connectivity, but the only software that talks it at
the other side (I know of) runs either NetBSD, DOS, Linux or FreeBSD.

Maybe a simple PPP connection against a RAS server is the easiest thing to do.
