Me too!  In my case, it's the ray0 (Aviator 2.4) card I forgot to suspend,
but same symptoms; apm -S, come back up, system hangs shortly.  Have tweaked
/etc/apm/{suspend,resume}, and will continue tracking -current.  (Laptop
is, of course, running -current.)
