It looks like the ray driver keeps track of the number of bytes going
through it, but not the number of packets...

netstat -i shows:

Name  Mtu   Network       Address              Ipkts Ierrs    Opkts Oerrs Colls
ray0  1500  <Link>        00:00:f1:11:5a:89        0     0        0     0     0

but netstat -ib shows:

Name  Mtu   Network       Address               Ibytes     Obytes
ray0  1500  <Link>        00:00:f1:11:5a:89     410799    1495283
