| MHO, the behavior is sufficiently useful that the documentation should reflect
| it - but I think the path we give root by "default" should include the sbins.

  So just add a login.conf that reads

default:\
	:path=/bin /usr/bin /usr/local/bin /usr/X11R6/bin:

  or whatever you want as path.
