CVS can also be a very good tool for configuration management (stuff in
/etc, etc :) - one could argue on production boxes that CVS could be
more useful than the C compiler.  You don't need to be able to compile
for CVS to be useful.


That said, it doesn't worry me if CVS is in the core of NetBSD or a
package...
