One thing to note, in general, about PCI on Compaq (at least) servers: There
can be multiple PCI buses, and, especially on machines that have hot-plug
PCI, those buses can be numbered nonsequentially. Linux (at least through
2.2.12) needs a patch to handle this; I don't know about *BSD.
