I've been trying to disklabel a virgin 37gig wd disk for a while with
no success.

    # disklabel -e wd1
    disklabel: ioctl DIOCWDINFO: No disk label on disk;
    use "disklabel -r" to install initial label
    re-edit the label? [y]: n

    # disklabel -e -r wd1
    disklabel: no disk label

    # disklabel -r wd1
    disklabel: no disk label

I can fdisk it with fdisk -i, so its not like the disk can't be
written to at all. I just can't get anything useful on it.

Is it a case of RTFM or TFP doesn't work any more? ;-)
