Yes. I've beta-tested all the various Novatel bits. I have a
Sage here and getting it running was a no-brainer....

Here's my options/chatscript files:

[sixpack ppp 4 ]; cat options
/dev/tty00
19200
defaultroute
ipcp-accept-local
ipcp-accept-remote
noipdefault
novj
connect 'chat -v -f /etc/ppp/chatscript'
mru 296
mtu 296
[sixpack ppp 5 ]; cat chatscript
ABORT BUSY ABORT 'NO CARRIER' ABORT ERROR '' AT OK 'AT\\APPP' CONNECT

I just type 'pppd' and it just "works".
