I've just setup anonymous rsync on sup2.fr.netbsd.org. Details are available
from http://antioche.lip6.fr/NetBSD/rsync.html (in french only, sorry).
Basically there's only a 'NetBSD' module, which root is
ftp://ftp2.fr.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD.

Modem users may prefer this over sup ...
