Is there a "remove" or other "white-out" option?

I try to run with a generic "WSRCC" config file with a small helper
file for the odd-ball machines. So far I've been forced to put the
lowest common set in the generic file and build on it with the
specific file. It would be great to be able to white-out selected
options from the specific file.
