}krb5 should allow these to be set in the krb5.conf file as well.

That's handy, thanks, but our local clients haven't gotten to K5 yet,
just the servers.  

}But gee, those patches sound familiar.

I suspect they should, given your name is all over the pertinent cvs
messages. :)
