there are a number of other articles about this out there, but for
those interested in primary sources, the text of the decision can be

It makes for interesting reading.

Eventually, assuming the appeals all go our way.  "Don't hold your
breath".

The original ruling was stayed pending appeal; the current ruling
won't actually take effect for (roughly) two months, and in the
meantime, the US government will likely file for appeal as well as
file for another stay (which will likely be granted), so it may be a
while before this sorts itself out..

I'm not sure where Perry's "wait three years after the Supreme court
rules on it" came from, though..
