   run-time generated files paths changes for the future XFree86 versions.
   
   What do you think ? Do you have objections against /etc/X11
   for configuration files ?


i already put X11 configuration files in /etc/X11 (just /xdm so far).  


i like the idea of config in /etc/X11 and runtime info (eg, xdm auth
files) in /var/X11.  actually, that's where my xdm authdir is already,
too.  :-)
