Hi, all.

I just got back from a weekend trip, and built a new kernel. Trying to
run startx gives me:

(--) SVGA: clgd5430: Internal memory clock register is 0x20 (Extended RAS)
(**) SVGA: clgd5430: Approximate DRAM bandwidth for drawing: 39 of 114 MB/s
(--) checkDevMem: warning: failed to open /dev/mem and /dev/xf86
        (No such file or directory)
        linear framebuffer access unavailable
(--) SVGA: clgd5430: 262144 bytes off-screen memory available
(--) SVGA: clgd5430: Using hardware cursor
(--) SVGA: clgd5430: Using accelerator functions
(--) SVGA: clgd5430: Using BitBLT engine

Fatal server error:
xf86MapVidMem: Could not mmap /dev/vga (Invalid argument)

This is on i386, supped freshly a short time ago.

For kicks, I downloaded the X stuff from the 1.4_BETA directory on the
ftp site and reinstalled xbase and xserver to no avail.

Anyone see this before? Have I missed something obvious?

Thanks in advance... I'm going back to my 1.4_ALPHA kernel for now.
