Netscape is a right heap of s**t on UNIX. It is riddled with bugs. Motif
too, is riddled with bugs. I wouldn't worry about it. Personally I find
that Navigator 3.04 has the right combination of bugs for me ;), certianly
less fatal than in 4.08 and 4.5.
