Subject: Being Realistic about the Root Shell

This may not be realistic of root's shell, but personally speaking, and
speaking on behalf of of other *bsd users.. the first thing I find myself
doing is:

cd /usr/pkgsrc/shells/bash
make all install

I don't see the big need to be perpetuating an argument over a shell that is
so rarely used. George Wallace said it best "There isn't a dimes worth of
difference between the democratic and republican parties" -- this is the way
most 'users' feel about the csh/sh debate. It may be important for some
people to argue that 'bsd v1 has been doing this since 1977' -- but most of
us use it so rarely that it really doesn't even factor into the equation.
