Subject: vi oddity tracked to screen, and maybe newer termcap

Hi again.

As it turns out, vi isn't at fault with regard to the message I sent earlier
about the pause after hitting escape. I've tracked this down to screen. When
I have screen running, I see the pause. When I don't have screen running, I
don't see the pause. (I don't see this odd behaviour on a 1.3.2 box whether
it's running screen or not. However, I do see this behaviour using a 1.3.2
vi on my -current box.)

Since this behaviour is new as of yesterday's build, and since my screen
installation hasn't changed, the only thing I can think of is termcap or
something. I will try swapping in an older termcap when I get home, to
see how that impacts things. I can't think of anything else that would
be in the loop here.

(FWIW, nvi and vile share the pause, where as vim doesn't. Vim, however,
interacts oddly with screen in other ways. Heh.)

I'll jabber at the list again when I know more.
