UVM has better performance than Mach VM and further UVM performance
improvements are in the works.

But note that we have also made a number of scheduler improvements in
-current, and these have had a big affect on the `feel' of the system.  I
think some complaints about NetBSD `performance under load' may have been
due to the older scheduler in many cases.

For example, (heads up, rc5 crunchers) nice +19 and nice +20 jobs no longer
take any CPU time away from nice +0 jobs, and the intermediate nice values
now take a more predictable amount of CPU percentage.

Also, the scheduler now does a much better job of switching to interactive
processes.
