I finally managed to get the system installed by dropping to a shell and =
doing it the good ole fashioned way. fdisk, disklabel, newfs, and tar. =
Actually, I prefer this method over sysinst now that I have done it. Who =
needs sysinst anyway?!

On to the bug report:

The kernel supplied with this snap is compiled for WSCONS support, but =
the supplied /etc/ttys file is configured for the ttyv* devices. I had =
to go to single user and add lines for the ttyE* WSCONS devices. This =
could be confusing to others.
