Somehow, "internal compiler error" doesn't seem stunningly helpful, at least
to me. :)
Looking at the reg_overlap_mentioned_for_reload_p function doesn't suggest
anything to me, perhaps because I don't undestand what it's trying to do.
<shrug>
I don't see anything syntactically weird in the function. It's conceivable
that my last build ended up somehow creating vaguely mucked-up egcs binaries
that now can't build themselves from source, although that's just a bit too
vague to be useful, IMHO.
I'm wondering if all the problems I've been seeing recently would be fixed
if I started from a known good binary snapshot and used that to build a
-current tree...? Yet again, I am seeing that funky shlib_version error,
and my source tree is extremely fresh, having been re-supped from scratch
into an empty /usr/src tree yesterday and updated again this morning.
Thanks in advance for ideas.
